Accessibility Statement

Last reviewed

We want everyone to be able to use this website, including people who use screen readers, keyboards, voice control or magnification. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 level AA.

What we do

  • We test every page automatically with the axe accessibility engine on phone and desktop screen sizes, and fix what it finds.
  • Pages have one main heading, a clear heading order, a skip link and visible keyboard focus.
  • Menus, tabs, carousels, dialogs and the review gallery work with a keyboard, and dialogs return focus to where you were.
  • Images that carry meaning have descriptions, and decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
  • Animations and the welcome video respect your device's reduced motion setting. Slideshows can be paused.
  • Text is sized to scale with your browser settings, and layouts adapt to small screens.

Known limitations

  • Embedded Google Maps are provided by Google, and we cannot control their accessibility. Each review also gives the address as text and a link to directions.
  • Photographs from venues and event organisers may not all have detailed descriptions yet.
  • Some articles were moved from an older site and may contain long passages that we are still improving.
